Matthew Curless
Biography
Hello, My name is Matthew (Matt) Curless. I am an Adjunct Instructor for the Modesto Junior College Fire Science Program. I am the Lead Instructor for the Regional Firefighter I Academy and teach Intro to Fire Science. My full time job is with the City of Modesto as a Fire Captain in the Fire Department. I am also an Accredited and Certified Instructor for the California State Fire Marshal in numerous disciplines. I am also a Veteran of the U.S. Navy where my secondary assignment was Aviation Crash and Rescue. I have over 25 years of Fire Service experience and just under that in Instructional Experience and with that time I am still learning and still studying. The Fire Service is ever changing and we must keep pace.
