Biography

I have enjoyed teaching at the college level since 2010 and have been at Modesto Junior College (my alma mater) since 2014. After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English at CSU Stanislaus in 2007, I obtained my Master of Arts in English (RTW & Literature) at CSU Stanislaus as well. Additionally, I have a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing in Fiction & Writing for Young People, which I received in 2020. 

Alongside teaching at MJC, I enjoy reading, writing, creating art, crocheting, jewelry making, crafting handmade journals, papermaking, and playing video games (if you see me, ask me about some of my favorite games). I am also currently working on a novel manuscript (with another two on the table) and a graphic novel. Some of my short stories and poems have been published at various literary journals.
