Biography

Hello.

I was hired in 2005 at Columbia College as Columbia's first full-time instructor of Speech Communication.  In 2006, I founded the Columbia College Speech and Debate team and I continue to enjoy traveling the competitive circuit as I explore forensics with interested students.  I teach a host of Spcom courses for Columbia and I have been known to add a Philosophy course into the rotation on occasion.   I recently completed a two-year stint at the YFA's Vice President/Grievance Officer and I am happy to return to my teaching duties after such an eye opening experience.  When I am not on campus attending to my duties, I can often be found either wandering landscapes, reading tomes, and/or looking for a snazzy game to engage myself in (Currently Baulder's Gate, Hearthstone, D&D, Mage Wars, and FIFA 24).

Doctorate of Philosophy, American Culture Studies- Bowling Green State University (2005)
Graduate Certificate, Women's Studies- Bowling Green State University (2005)

Master of Arts, Communication-Arizona State University (2000)
Bachelor of Arts, Communication- Arizona State University (1997)
Associate of Arts, Speech Communication- Modesto Junior College (1995)
