Biography
Hi and welcome to MJC!
I am a professor in the Respiratory Care Associate Degree Program and the Bachelor's Degree program here at MJC. Respiratory Care Practitioner is a very rewarding career. Respiratory Care Practitioners mostly work in acute care hospitals and work with patients that have cardiopulmonary conditions.
I also teach a course Medical Terminology (MDAST 321) which is an excellent class to help students that are interested in the Health Professions. Medical Terminology is also helpful if you do not go into the health profession as it is helpful to understand personal health conditions too. We go over the body systems as well as the medical terms. I have a passion for teaching and working with students as well as caring for patients in the medical field.
I have been teaching at the college for 8 years and have worked in health care for over 20 years.
If you have questions regarding the courses I teach or the profession of Respiratory Care, feel free to call me or send me an email.
Janet
