Biography

Because reading and writing are practices that offer opportunities for transformation in college and life, I consider it a true privilege to teach Reading and English here at MJC. I joined the Reading Department about ten years ago.

Prior to MJC, I taught English in every grade from 7th-12th and to adults in night school. I also spent a year teaching overseas at the International School of Kabul in Afghanistan. I have a B.A. in General Studies from Trinity Western University in British Columbia, an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading from California State University Stanislaus, and an M.A. in English with a specialization in Literature from Bowling Green State University.
