Attended NYU, Sociology and Fine Arts, (Summa Cum Laude) and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Sociology
Originally from Pennsylvania; teaching Sociology at MJC since 2004

Research interests: Medieval European communities of violence and magical persecution; social movements (terrorism), historical sociology (the Easter Rising, Medieval Labor), politics, culture.

Member of American Association of Sociology, Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Theta Kappa; Robert Wright Scholar of Sociology at NYU; Janssen Scholar of Fine Arts NYU, Who's Who in America (since 2010)
I am a proud member of Umoja Community here at MJC. 

Outside interests: European museums, art and architecture; archaeology, photography, cooking, Humanism, and of course, magic!
