Eurico Silva
Biography
I am Eric Silva, an Instructor in Manufacturing and
Machining at Modesto Junior College (MJC) with over 18 years of experience in
the field. Before joining MJC in the Fall of 2021, I served as a Machine Shop
Supervisor for 14 years at Wafab International and a consultant for Kinetics
and Mega Fluid systems, gaining extensive expertise in various machining
processes and techniques. I gained significant experience in the Semiconductor
industry programming and operating both CNC and manual mills and lathes. During
my industrial career, I attended MJC to acquire my A.S. degree in Machine Tool
Technology. I am always looking to further my experience and grow as an
instructor and Machinist. On my off time, I work on trainings from Fanuc for
certifications in Industrial Robotics and pursue my bachelor's degree.
Currently, I hold 4 certificates with Fanuc Industrial Robotics and am actively
seeking other certifications to enhance my skills and further strengthen the
program. My combination of academic knowledge, practical experience, and
industry certifications allows me to effectively educate and prepare students
for successful careers in the manufacturing and machining industry.
