Michelle Walker
Biography
I grew up in the Mother Lode, but moved away for several years when I took a job at Saint Louis University. I worked for their Institutional Review Board (IRB) and shortly thereafter decided to start working toward my bachelors in social work. After 4 years, I left SLU to help my husband with his business and finished up my undergraduate degree with University of Phoenix. I went on to complete my MBA at Western Governors University in 2016.
I love spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, reading a good book, and am always in search of the next adventure. I am passionate about education, mostly because of the challenges I experienced in my own educational journey. I have worked in a variety of positions at Columbia College since 2013, but I currently work as the Director for External Initiatives. I have also teach for our Incarcerated Student Program (ISP) at Sierra Conservation Center. I love what I do and feel that my life is now coming around full circle!
